FAQ

Accessibility

Vienna's first district is very old. Hence the streets and sidewalks are often very narrow and paved with cobblestone. People with a walking impairment may have trouble. If you have any concerns, please contact us prior to booking. One of the restaurants is only accessible via stairs. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

How long does it take?

The walk takes about 3.5 hours, most of which we will spend eating.

Will we have to walk a lot?

The walk itself is about 2 km/1.2 miles and takes about 25 minutes... if we did not stop to have delicious food.

I don't drink alcohol, is there a non-alcoholic option?

Of course all the places we visit offer non-alcoholic drinks. We would recommend you try a grape juice instead of wine. Soft drinks are also available. As there is virtually no difference in price between alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages your choice has no effect on the tour price.

Weather conditions

The tour will take place in any weather.

Do I have to make a booking in advance?

Yes, please!

Can I pay in cash?

No, we only accept payment via Paypal.

I have small children. Would you still recommend the tour?

The food is probably mostly not to children's taste. And they will probably be very bored. However, if you decide to bring your kid along, please take into consideration that navigating Vienna's old streets with strollers can be quite challenging.

There are small children in our company. Do they have to pay the full price?

Children until the age of six can take part for free. However we do not recommend taking small children along, as the food is probably not to their liking and they will be quite bored. However, if you decide to bring your kid along, please take into consideration that navigating Vienna''s old streets with strollers can be quite challenging.

Refunds/Cancellation Policy

Refunds are available with at least seven days prior notice and are issued via Paypal.

Where does the tour start/end?

Once you have made your reservation we will send you an email containing details about the meeting point. We will end the tour at the same spot, which is located in front of an underground station.

Is there a dress code?

No shoes, no shirt, no service. Apart from that you are free to dress as you like.

Is there a vegetarian option?

Depending on the season, there are some delicious vegetarian choices available. Please inquire via email to info@viennafoodwalk.at.

Dietary restrictions

If you have any dietary restrictions, please let us know in advance, either when you make the booking in the appropriate field, or via email to info@viennafoodwalk.at.

Which languages are available?

The tour can be held in English and German. At the same time. Yes, we're that good.
